DOLLAR NEWS
Mr Thomas A Lyon, of the Parcel Office Department, Glasgow, has been appointed stationmaster at Shandon. Mr Lyon, who is a native of Dollar, entered the service of the company in 1886, and for the last ten years has been in the parcel office at Queen Street where he is extremely popular.

STRATHMIGLO
NEW STATIONMASTER
Mr Andrew W Craig has been appointed stationmaster at Strathmiglo in succession to Mr Robert Shaw, retired.
Mr Craig, like his predecessor, is a Colonial, being a native of Winnipeg, has been transferred from Shandon, on the Garelochhead section of the LNER. He entered the service of the North British Railway Co, at Maryhill, Glasgow, in 1904. Gavell (now Twechar) was Mr Craig’s next post, and from there he was transferred to Kilsyth New in the capacity of clerk. From there Mr Craig was promoted chief clerk at Clydebank Central, and later Staff Department clerk in the District Superintendent’s office in Glasgow, Shandon being his last post as a stationmaster.
